ENG vs MI: England clean sweep West Indies in the three-match series, winning the last and final match by 17 runs.
After winning the toss, West Indies skipper Shai Hope decided to bowl first. Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett started the innings for England and gave a solid start to the team. At the end of the powerplay, England was 83/0, with Ben Duckett reaching his fifty in just 20 balls, and then Jamie Smith scored his fifty in 23 balls. Both batters had a partnership of 120 runs as England were eyeing a huge total. Batters down the order contributed significant runs as England reached 248 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Chasing the target of 249 runs, West Indies’ start wasn’t good as they lost both openers early in the chase. Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles got out after scoring just nine runs each. Skipper Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer built the partnership for the 3rd wicket, but Egnland’s bowler picked up the wickets of Hetmyer and Rutherford in quick succession. Rovman Powell showed resistance and scored an unbeaten 79 runs, but that wasn’t enough to take his team to victory as England won the match by 17 runs.

ENG vs WI, 3rd T20I: Captains’ Corner
Very pleased, the lads have done well, played exceptional cricket. To top off the series as we have tonight has been pleasing. [Marshalling bowlers] Having Daws and Rash helps. Woody bowled well, Pottsy the other night. It’s been a challenge but really good. I like the depth in the batting, it gives the lads at the top permission to go out and get us off to a flyer. [Test prep] I’ll be batting a lot, getting Tres throwing at me. Still plenty of things to learn but time to reflect on that.”
Harry Brook(England’s captain)
“For us it’s crucial moments in the game, with bat or ball. We haven’t put a complete game together, we have to find ways, just keep chipping away. [Dot balls?] We have to find our way, how we’re going to score. Keep dot balls down as much as possible. If we can marry the two together, keep scoring consistently and marry power and finesse. We’ve got to improve everywhere. [Ireland next] Three more games, want to take something back to the Caribbean
Shai Hope(WI captain)
