ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup qualifier 2023 fixtures:

ICC The apex governing body of cricket recently released the qualifier fixtures of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, in which ten teams would fight for two spots. As the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is going to be held this year and eight out of ten teams have already qualified for the world cup, the rest of the two teams would be selected after the qualifier matches, which will go on from June 18 to July 9, 2023. This year, the entire tournament is going to be hosted by India; earlier in 2011, it was jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, and India lifted the World Cup that year.

Teams in ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers:

The qualifier matches among 10 teams are going to happen in Zimbabwe. The ten teams are divided into two groups, A and B, with five teams in each group. In Group A, teams like Zimbabwe, the West Indies, the Netherlands, Nepal, and the United States are there, and in Group B, teams like Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates are there. Teams in two groups would play matches against each other in their respective groups, and the top three teams in each group would qualify for the Super Six.

The six qualified teams would be playing against each other to seal the final spot, and the two teams that reached the final stage of the fixture would qualify for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. There are some known names in the qualifier matches, such as the cricket teams of the West Indies, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka, who weren’t eligible for automatic qualification in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 as they fell short of the required points. Here are the names of the eight teams that have qualified for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023:

New Zealand, England, India (host), Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan, South Africa.

All teams before their qualifier matches would play in warm-up matches, and for the first time, the DRS system would be a part of the qualifier matches from the Super Six stage onwards. After the qualifier matches, we will get the last two teams who are going to be featured in one of the biggest cricket events, where each team will be able to play nine matches.
