India vs New Zealand 1st Test match of the three-match series didn’t bring good news for the home side as India registered its lowest test total at home. India got bowled out for 46 runs on day 2 of the test match. After the first day being washed out due to incessant rain, the play begins on day 2, with India winning the toss and opting to bat first at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal started the innings for India. They assessed the conditions in the starting overs, but in the sixth over, while charging down to the crease, Rohit Sharma was beaten in the swing as Tim Southee picked up his first wicket.

The top order collapsed like a house of cards after the first wicket, and India lost Virat Kohli and Sarfaraz Khan in no time. Both batters went back to the pavilion on ducks. New Zealand players were roaring at Chinnaswamy as India’s first runs through a boundary came in the 13th over of the innings. Indian batters were looking clueless, and Kiwi pacers continued attacking, which led to the collapse of the Indian batting line-up as India was bundled out for just 46 runs, which is now India’s lowest test total at home.

New Zealand’s start was utterly opposite, as both openers batted on the surface without any trouble. Devon Conway led the charge and scored runs from his end quickly to get past the score of 46 runs. Conway scored fifty but missed his hundred by just 9 runs as Ravichandran Ashwin got his wicket. New Zealand dominated Day 2 as, at the end of the day, they were leading with 134 runs with the loss of only 3 wickets.
