India vs South Africa 3rd ODI Highlights: India, after facing defeat in the second ODI of the three-match ODI series, bounced back in the decider to beat the host team. The Indian team came prepared this time and played better than the host in the final match of the series. India’s second string has done well against South Africa; first it was the T20 series where the visitors leveled the series, and now under KL Rahul’s captaincy, India clinched the ODI series 2-1. India’s Arshdeep Singh performed fantastically in the ODI series; he didn’t only take crucial wickets but choked South Africa’s batters to stop them at a score of 218 runs in the decider match of the series.

India vs South Africa 3rd ODI Highlights
It is the story of the entire ODI series, and this time as well, South Africa’s skipper Aiden Markram won the toss and decided to bowl first. India this time opened with Sai Sudarshan and debutant Rajat Patidar. Both batters looked good in the initial overs, especially the debutant right-handed batter, but Nandre Burger didn’t let Patidar go long way and dismissed him by bowling an in-swinging full-length delivery. Soon, Sai Saudarshan also got dismissed, and India was two down for 49 runs. Now this was the time for Sanju Samson to prove his ODI brilliance, and he delivered what every Indian fan was expecting from him. He built a 51-run partnership with skipper KL Rahul, who got out on a score of 21 runs.
Sanju Samson continued his innings with Tilak Varma, who scored his first ODI fifty, but soon he got dismissed. Samson kept his calm and scored his maiden ODI century, but he could only take his innings to 108 runs. A quick innings from Rinku Singh of 38 runs took India to a total of 296 runs in 50 overs.
South Africa, while chasing the target of 297 runs, started their innings with their usual openers who gave the start, which was needed by South Africa as Indian pacers looked clueless in front of the opening pair. But it was again Arshdeep Singh who did a comeback in the 9th over and dismissed Reeza Hendricks. Tony de Zorzi looked like he just wanted to repeat his second ODI’s innings where he scored a century. He was assisted by South Africa’s skipper Aiden Markram, and both started giving some tough times to the Indian bowlers, but while trying to play a reverse sweep in the 26th over, Markram got caught, and India was back in business.
Arshdeep Singh delivered a brilliant yorker to dismiss Tony de Zorzi on 81 runs, and Indian bowlers didn’t let anyone settle on the field further and stopped South Africa on 218 runs, winning the match by 78 runs. Arshdeep Singh finished with 4 wickets in his spell of 9 overs.
