Mumbai Indians dominantly defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the match 41st of the IPL 2025 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, but more than the Mumbai Indians’ win, it was the issue of the bizarre dismissals of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batters that raised the eyebrows of cricket fans who accused them of match-fixing. The first incident happened in the 3rd over of the powerplay with Ishan Kishan on strike; Deepak Chahar bowled a delivery going to the leg-side. Ishan feathered it to Ryan Rickelton’s gloves. No one appealed yet, but the Umpire was eager to raise his finger. A half-hearted appeal from Deep Chahar ultimately led to the left-handed batter’s dismissal.
Ishan Kishan’s Weird Walk-Off
What made the incident worth raising eyebrows was the replay, which showed that the ball didn’t touch the bat. Still, the batter walked to the dugout without even discussing it with the non-strikers or the end batter about taking a review, which made the netizens go wild on social media. Netizens alleged Ishan Kishan of match-fixing. What added more fire to the speculations was Abhinav Manohar’s wicket.
One of the X users said this about Ishan Kishan.

Abhinav Manohar’s Hit-Wicket
After down to only 5 men, Sunrisers Hyderabad impact substitute Abhinav Manohar, played a good innings of 43 runs for his team and partnered with Heinrich Klaasen to take his team beyond 100 runs. However his dismissal was also interesting while facing Trent Boult in the final over of the first innings, Abhinav Manohar went deep into the crease expecting a yorker and before playing the delivery over covers he hit the stumps with his bat which led to his dismissal.
Netizens didn’t spare Abhinav Manohar and trolled him on social media, with one user saying that it was clear match-fixing.
Abhinav manohar hit wicket ho gya 🤣aur kya saboot chahiye match fixing ka🤣

Was That A Match-Fixing Evidence Or Brain-Fade Moment?
Ishan Kishan, though, got out in a weird manner. It wasn’t unusual for a player to get confused while not going through a great form. If there was something to be concerned about, then BCCI would have launched a probe, and so far, that is not the case.
