After India’s KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja’s injuries, there is an update coming from England’s side as their left-arm spinner Jack Leach has been ruled out owing to a knee injury that he suffered during the first test match against India. Jack Leach suffered a knee injury, due to which he just bowled 10 overs in the second innings for the England team while bowling 26 in the first. England’s captain, Ben Stokes, wants Jack Leach to join the team as soon as possible, and while giving an update on the injury, he said this:
“He’s ruled out of the second Test. Unfortunately, the knock he took resulted in a haematoma. It’s a big shame for us and a big shame for him. It’s something we’re assessing every day but the medical team have taken over on that, so hopefully it’s not something too serious that keeps him out for longer,”
Ben Stokes said
Jack Leach will not be playing the second test match against India. Being the most experienced bowler on England’s team, he was an important asset on the slow pitches of India. Though he only took 2 wickets in the first test match, he was well supported by the former captain Joe Root and the new spin sensation of England’s team, Tom Hartley, who picked up 7 wickets in the second innings of the match. Rumors of Shoaib Bashir, who has recently joined England’s camp to become part of England’s team in the next match, are there.
The India vs. England second test match will start tomorrow at Vizag, where India will be looking to make a comeback in the test series after losing the first test match.
