India defeated Ireland by 33 runs, taking a 2-0 lead in the series. Jasprit Bumrah leveled a unique record with Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

The India vs Ireland T20I series, with its second T20I game, is now in the hands of India, as Jasprit Bumrah led India defeated Ireland by 33 runs in the second match. Indian batters this time looked great with the bat, though Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma failed to score big. It was Ruturaj, Samson, and Rinku Singh who played well; vice captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 58 off 42 balls, Sanju Samson scored 40 off 26 balls, and Rinku Singh, who got the chance to bat for the first time donning the blue jersey, lived up to the hype as the left-handed batter scored 38 off 21 balls, taking India’s total to 185 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

Ireland’s response didn’t start well as they lost two wickets early in the game. Captain Paul Sterling got out on duck, and then Lorcan Tucker followed him as Ireland was suddenly two down in the 3rd over. Both wickets were taken by Prasidh Krishna. Later, Andrew Balbirnie showed some strength and fought hard for his team. The right-handed batter scored 72 runs in 51 balls to keep the Irish hopes alive, but after his wicket, the match was turned in India’s favor, and India managed to win the match against the Irish team.

Jasprit Bumrah in his captaincy debut series is picking up wickets and looking good with the ball, as the ace pacer took 4 wickets in this series so far, and in the last match with his maiden over, he became the second Indian bowler to have 10 maiden overs in T20I cricket. Bhuvneshwar Kumar also has 10 maiden overs in T20I and stands second in the rankings for the most number of maiden overs in T20I. Jasprit Bumrah could surpass the fellow cricketer if he remained consistent with the ball.
