Nearly 900 Players, including Nicholas Pooran and Mandhana, have Enrolled for The Hundred Draft

The upcoming The Hundred draft for the men’s and women’s competition has attracted a total of 890 players from 22 countries, including some of the biggest names in cricket. Among the notable players who have registered for the draft are New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, India’s Smriti Mandhana, Australia’s Meg Lanning and David Warner, and West Indies’ Kieron Pollard.

The eight men’s teams and six women’s teams had the option of retaining a certain number of players, leaving 75 and 54 spots to be filled on draft day, respectively. A further 16 players, two per squad, will be added to both men’s and women’s teams via Wildcard Draft before the competition starts. In the women’s competition, Birmingham Phoenix will have the first pick, while in the men’s competition, it will be Northern Superchargers.

It is going to be an amazing season of the Hundred, in which the match consists of 100 balls for each inning, and one bowler can deliver 5 balls over or 10 balls over, which is a unique format. The inclusion of new players like Deepti Sharma and Lungi Ngidi will make the format more exciting.
