Rishabh Pant To Play Entire IPL 2024 Season "Ponting Said"

It is happy news for all the Indian and Delhi Capitals fans that the Australian legend Ponting speaks about Rishabh Pant’s condition and his availability for the 2024 IPL season for the Delhi team.

On December 30, 2022, Rishabh Pant had a life-threatening car accident after his car turned upside down because he fell asleep while driving from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his mom on the new year but on the Narsan border of Roorkee near the Hammadpur Jhal in the Uttarakhand his car collided with the side wall of the road, but luckily there was a bus driver Sushil Kumar saved him and took him out of the car.

Pant was rushed to Dehradun Hospital for an MRI in which his brain and spine condition was normal, but his right knee and wrist got injured, which made him sit out from the game over the past two years. After 13 months of recovery, Ponting is sure that Pant can play the entire season of IPL for the Delhi Capitals.

It was bad news for the Indian cricket team, who considered him their first-choice wicketkeeper in the World Cup, but still, they were happy that he was safe and sound. However, Delhi missed him as they had a terrible season in the IPL last year, but now they are looking for him to come back as a captain. Pant played 98 IPL matches for the Delhi side, in which he scored 2838 runs with an average of 34.61 and has one century on his name.

But in saying that we’re only six weeks away from the first game as well. So we’re not sure if we’ll get wicketkeeping out of him this year,”

It is going to be great to see Rishabh Pant play again in an official match, as recently saw that he has been playing some local matches in the lower league to test his fitness and also going through many drills to keep himself fit for the upcoming IPL season. However, there is a very slight chance that if he performs well in the IPL, then he might also get a chance to play for Team India in the upcoming T20I World Cup.
