Iran vs Qatar AFC Asian Cup Semi-Final Match: Qatar Wins By 3-2 Scoreline
It will be remembered as one of the best football matches in the history of the AFC Asian Cup as both teams fought till the last breath, but luck was on Qatar’s side, who won the match by a 3-2 scoreline against the unlucky Iranian team, who fought well till the end.
The match started with an amazing goal by Sardar Azmoun, who scored a bicycle kick in the 4th minute of the match to give the Iran lead, but soon Jassem Gaber Abdulsallam scored the amazing goal in the 17 minute to level the score by 1-1.
Both teams kept attacking from one end to the other end, and in the 43rd minute, Qatar took the lead as Akram Afif scored an amazing curler to give his team a 2-1 lead. After half-time in the 51st minute of the match, Iran awarded a penalty, which was converted into a goal by captain Alireza Jahanbakhsh to level the score 2-2, which made the match more exciting.
The third goal of the match came in the 82nd-minute match as Almoez Ali got the winning goal to take his team to the final, but before the referee blew the final whistle, Iran was unlucky with their shot as Azmoun almost made it level when his shot hit the far net of the Qatar side but did not go in which gave a win to Qatar to reach the final of the AFC Asian Cup two times in a row and will look to defend their title which they won last year.
