India’s skipper Rohit Sharma reportedly got fined for overspeeding while driving to Pune to join the Indian team for the upcoming India-Bangladesh clash. As per the reports, Rohit Sharma was driving his car at 200+ km/h on the Mumbai-Pune expressway. According to the Pune Times Mirror, he was fined three traffic challans for his reckless driving, and the traffic police department also raised concern about him driving at such high speeds on the Mumbai-Pune expressway during busy hours, quoting the World Cup, and advised Rohit Sharma to travel in the team’s bus with a police escort.
Rohit Sharma is going to play against Bangladesh in his next match today, and after his duck in the first match of the World Cup 2023 against Australia, he came back strong in the next two matches, scoring a century in the next match against Afghanistan, and then in the India-Pakistan clash, he scored a fearless 86 runs that helped India chase the target pretty easily, so his presence in the team and scoring runs are crucial for the Indian team as they provide strength to the top-order batters. India is on a winning run as of now, having won all three of their last matches, and India are favorites to win their next one as well.
Rohit Sharma is having a great run in the World Cup 2023, as the batter already broke the record for the most number of centuries in ODI World Cup history. He has scored seven centuries in the ODI World Cup, which is the most by any batter in the ODI World Cup.
