Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL 2025: SWOT Analysis
Strengths: RCB has always had a strong batting lineup, and this time, with overseas batters like Phil Salt and Tim David joining the franchise, it will add extra firepower to their well-established batting department.
Weaknesses: The bowling department is where RCB has struggled for a long; though their bowling department performed decently last season, it lacks good spinners. There are all-rounders like Krunal Pandya in the squad, but a specialist is required in tense situations, which they don’t have.
Opportunities: Players like Yash Dayal, Krunal Pandya, and newly appointed captain Rajat Patidar have the opportunity to shine and make their way back to the Indian senior team. Though Rajat Patidar and Krunal Pandya have represented India, it’s been a long time since they played any international matches. IPL 2025 can open doors for them to get their names back in the Indian team.
Threats: An inexperienced captain and a lack of potential replacements if somebody gets injured can affect RCB’s performance in the tournament.
