The Pahalgam terrorist attack has shocked the world and the entire nation to its core. The spine-chilling killings of unarmed civilians by terrorists who were linked to “The Resistance Front,” an off-shoot of Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, sparked outrage in India. Former Pakistan cricketer, instead of condemning the attack, accused Indian security forces of negligence and called them useless.

Even if a cracker bursts in India, they blame it on Pakistan. You have an 8 lakh-strong army in Kashmir, yet this happened. This means you are useless, not being able to provide security to people,” Afridi told Samaa TV

The comments received backlash from Indian fans, and former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan replied to the Pakistani cricketer, telling him to focus on his country’s progress instead of passing comments on India’s security forces.

“We defeated you even in Kargil. You have already fallen so low – how much lower will you go? Instead of making pointless comments, it would be better if you used your mind for your country’s progress, @SAfridiOfficial. We are extremely proud of our Indian Army. Bharat Mata Ki Jai! Jai Hind!” Shikhar Dhawan posted on his X account.

The comments caught the eyes of former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria, who revealed how Shahid Afridi was treating him for being a Hindu and urged Pakistan’s media not to give the former cricketer any platform to speak.

He has consistently aligned himself with extremist views. In my opinion, he should not be given a platform on Indian television or within the country. Additionally, he tried to persuade me to convert to Islam and declined to share a meal with me, which I found deeply disrespectful,” Danish Kaneria said

The tensions at the India-Pakistan border are escalating day by day, with Pakistan constantly making threats to India with dire consequences if India takes any military action at the border. Meanwhile, India is preparing for something big.
