Shivam Dube Thanked MS Dhoni After His Blistering Knock Of 63* Off 32 Balls In The Second T20I

Shivam Dube gave credit for his performance to MS Dhoni and his mentors in the CSK.

India’s left-hand batting all-rounder Shivam Dube, since his inclusion in the team for the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan, has proved the selectors right with his two powerful back-to-back fifties in the first and second T20I matches. Not just did he score fifties, but the way he scored created a lot of buzz. Shivam Dube scored fifties in the first and second T20Is, and his second fifty came in just 22 balls in both matches. He played a major role in India’s victory and behind his enormous improvement in his batting technique there is sheer hard work that he did on his weaknesses and guidance from the world-famous mentors, one of whom was MS Dhoni.

During the post-match presentation, while talking to the broadcaster, Jio Cinema Shivam Dube revealed how IPL and CSK played a huge role in his cricket career and specifically took the names MS Dhoni, Stephen Fleming, and Michael Hussey.

This credit goes to the CSK team and Mahi bhai. I always had the game, but what CSK do is take out that game from a player. So, they have given me that confidence. They told me that I could score runs in IPL and that they believed in me. The likes of Hussey and Fleming said they had faith in me and that I could do what they wanted,”

Shivam Dube said

Shivam Dube joined CSK in the IPL 2022. During that season, his performance wasn’t very satisfying, as the left-handed batter scored 289 runs in 11 games he played, but in the very next year, he crossed the 400-run mark in the IPL, which played a major role in taking CSK to the final of the IPL 2023 and helping the team lift their 5th title by defeating Gujarat Giants in the final.
