Shreevats Goswami Match-Fixing Allegations On A Kolkata League Cricket Match

Shreevats Goswami alleged that match-fixing happened in a Kolkata Cricket League match.

Shreevats Goswami, who was part of India’s U-19 World Cup-winning team in 2008, recently shared two video footages on his social media account, where he alleged that the visuals clearly show that there was match-fixing in the game. The video footage he shared was of a first-division league match that happened between Mohammedan Sporting and Town Club. According to the cricketer, the Mohammedan Sporting batters threw away their wickets intentionally during the match, and Town Club won the match, securing 7 points. Where is the media now?”

Shakib Habib Gandhi’s innings of 223 runs helped Town Club amass a huge total of 446 runs. In reply, the Mohammedan Sporting team was stopped at 281/9, with Joyjit Basu being the highest scorer of the team so far. Debabrata Das hasn’t made a comment on the allegations yet, but Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) chief Snehasish Ganguly has ordered a probe into this matter.
