India vs West Indies 1st ODI: Why Surya Kumar Yadav wears Sanju Samson jersey?

Sanju Samson even after being the part of the selected squad for the ODI series against West Indies once again ignored as the right-handed batter was in the Indian playing XI for the first ODI against West Indies, wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan was preferred over him and Sanju’s fans were not happy with this decision but to their surprise some one was playing in the match donning Sanju Samson‘s jersey and it was none other than Surya Kumar Yadav who was in the playing XI, spectators left confused seeing that and started guessing the reason for Surya’s act though there are no solid confirmation on the information came out so far, there were some issues with size of his new jersey as the batter got a smaller size jersey due to which he wore Sanju’s jersey. 

In the first ODI match against the West Indies, India got a thumping victory over the Caribbean thanks to the Indian bowlers performance in the match, who bowled out the West Indies for 114 runs. From the Indian side, Kuldeep Yadav trapped West Indian batters in his spin and claimed four wickets in the match; debutant Mukesh Kumar also got his maiden ODI wicket during the match; left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja also scalped three wickets; and while chasing the target of 115 runs, opener Ishan Kishan batted well to score his fourth ODI fifty.

India went on to win the match by five wickets as skipper Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja ended the match after 22.5 overs. Shubman Gill is facing a serious form crisis as the young batter since the WTC final hasn’t scored significant runs for his team, and in the first ODI as well, he scored just 7 runs in the match as the post-IPL disappointment with runs continues for him. Surya managed to score 19 runs in his brief inning with three fours and one six.
