Helmut Marko Reveals Perez Replacement: Tsunoda or Lawson

Helmut Marko, former racing driver and now one of the advisors to Red Bull Racing, has announced that Sergio Perez will be replaced by either Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson for the 2025 Formula One season beside Max Verstappen. Well, personally, I think there’s definitely a need for the new approach to come in. Plus, we are looking closely at our young talents. Both Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson have pretty great promise, and we do believe they can complement Max Verstappen and make the team stronger overall,” Marko said.

2024 Statistics of Tsunoda and Lawson

Liam Lawson: Lawson has raced five times in the Grand Prix this season, earning two world championship points and a best finish of 9th at the Singapore Grand Prix.

Yuki Tsunoda: Tsunoda has made 81 race starts with 83 points. His best finish for the season is the 4th position.
