English Premier League News: Mauricio Pochettino The Right Man For Chelsea FC?

Chelsea FC faces a turbulent season with their worst start in 45 years. Explore the challenges Pochettino faces and potential changes ahead for the club.

Chelsea FC is now in deep trouble after their worst start of the season in 40 years, clearly putting a question on their new manager, Pochettino. If he can turn things around for Chelsea, or should they look out for a new manager?

Chelsea once again suffered a loss against Aston Villa by a 0-1 scoreline at Stamford Bridge, which made the season for the club worse match by match, even after not competing in any European League. In the post-match, Pochettino asked his players to grow up, but it was on a card when they pointed out that they would sign players only if they were under 25 years of age.

The match against Aston Villa was another bad performance for the Chelsea club as right from the start, they were on the back foot, but once again, whenever they got the chance, the forwards failed to convert it into a goal. Nicolas Jackson once again failed to score on good opportunities, which is normal for Chelsea forwards.

Jackson picked up his fifth yellow card in the sixth game in the 50th minute, which made him miss the next match against Fulham. In the 58th minute, Malo Gusto picked up a red card after a VAR check. Ollie Watkins scored his first goal of the Premier League in the 73rd minute to give his side a 1-0 lead, and it was also his 4th goal against Chelsea as the last time he scored a hattrick against them.

If Pochettino is going to stick with his plan, then the results are going to be the same as he prefers few players to be included in his plan, but he needs to change a few things, and the first thing should be playing Enzo Fernandez with Caicedo and use Cole Palmer as the number 10.
