Viktor Gyokeres And Benzema On Chelsea January Transfer List

Chelsea once again got active in the transfer market as they are still looking to get their hands on the striker, and now they are looking to loan Karim Benzema from Al-Hilal as he is not quite happy in the Saudi Pro League.

Recently, Chelsea’s £73m bid for Viktor Gyokeres was rejected by Sporting CP as they want £86m for the star striker who has scored 14 goals and given 9 assists in 21 matches. In the 2021/2022 season, Coventry signed him for about 1.20m, and in the 2022/2023 season, he scored 22 goals for the club, which attracted Sporting CP to sign him for about £20m, which turned into their best signing and now they put an £86m price tag on him after rejecting £73m bid from blues.

Chelsea is also looking for Robert Fermino for the backup options. They have already spent over 1 billion dollars in the past two years but still sit in 9th place at the moment. However, in the past 3 Premier League matches, they won all, but they still need to win almost every match from now on even to have a chance to finish in the top four to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Christopher Nkunku is also going to be back on the team after a long-term injury he suffered during the pre-season practice matches for Chelsea in 2023. The last time he came off the bench against the Wolves, on the 24th of December 2023, was his first start for the Blues, in which he scored a goal on the 24th of January 2023.

Chelsea does make a lot of chances, but they missed the most created chances in front of the goal, which has been Chelsea FC’s biggest problem. This is the biggest reason that Blues are looking to loan Benzema.
