The Saudi Arabia Football Association banned Cristiano Ronaldo for one game because of his gesture towards the fans who chanted Messi in the match against Al-Shabab and also fined 30,000 riyals ($8,000) with a warning that if he does that again, it will be a bigger problem for him.
One of the greatest footballers in the world, Ronaldo, said that he respects all football clubs and players, and the gesture he made was not towards them. It was a gesture that expressed Strength and Victory, which is normal in European football.
Since last year, Saudi Pro League clubs signed many star players, including Ronaldo, Neymar, Benzema, and Sadio Mane, who came to the Saudi League in return for a very big paycheck to leave the highest competitive football to spend some last year of football with lots of money and less tension. However, the player needs to be modest in their league because it is not Europe, where showing anger and making some gestures is appropriate. It is Saudi, where people are not abusive, and fans also do not abuse too many like in European football.
The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has issued a one-match ban to Cristiano Ronaldo,” revealed an SAFF spokesperson, as reported by The Guardian. The Al Nassr captain is also required to pay “10,000 Saudi Riyal [$2,600] fine to SAFF and 20,000 SAR [$5,300] fine payable to the opposition club Al-Shabab FC for ‘provoking fans’ or ‘inciting fans’ as per article 57 of the disciplinary and ethics committee at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.”

Messi and Ronaldo have been going against each other in football for the last two decades to show how great they are in terms of football, but the main fight is between Ronaldo fans and Messi fans who think that their idol is the best in the world because of that many fans do abuse other players who are not the right spirit of the game as both players are the GOAT(Greatest of All Time) and we are lucky to watch them play over past decades.
