India lost In Last AFC Asian Cup Against Syria By 1-0

Indian Football Team finished last in their AFC Asian Cup group after losing all three matches and not scoring a single goal against any team in the group. In the first match of the tournament against Australia, the Indian defense was amazing. Still, then against Uzbekistan, when they tried to attack India, they conceded three goals, which ended their dream of qualifying for the FIFA 2026.

Indian Football Team should be looking to other coaches because Igor Stimac is not really the one who gonna improve the Indian football attack, which is the biggest weakness of the team as they were not able to score a single goal, and in the last match, they were able to just had one shot on target which is disappointing stats. Syria was the weakest team in the group, against which India had the best chance, but they did not threaten them once in the match.

Igor Stimac did improve the defensive abilities of the players, but still, there were many times when the defenders were unable to clear the ball and work as a defensive unit, which made them concede many goals. There is also an issue with the striker as Sunil Chhetri is old, and now it is time for him to retire because the Indian football team needs a pacey attacker, which Chhetri lacks due to his age.

It is looking impossible for the Indian Football Team to even think about playing in the 2046 FIFA World Cup because the way India plays is negative, and they are not producing some good talent even when the Indian Super League players are getting good pay but not improving as a player. However, India will face Afghanistan next in the World Cup Qualifiers second round on March 21, 2024, followed by its second leg on March 26, 2024.

India might look for another coaching staff for the upcoming years of football as India has still failed to perform better in the AFC Asian Cup.
