Lionel Messi once again scored in the match for Inter Miami team to help the team reach their first-ever Leagues Cup final, as they won the match against Philadelphia by 4-1 in the semi-final.
The attacking side of Miami was quite amazing as all the players were putting in the effort to find the chance to go forward, which is why the first goal came in just the 3rd minute of the match. Serhiy Kryvtsov gave a beautiful pass to the Inter Miami striker Josef Martinez who was wide open without any pressure from the defender and shot the ball at the left side of the goalpost to open the scoreline for Inter Miami.
Philadelphia’s defense was worse than many fans ever saw in any professional football, even when they were said to have one of the best defenses in the MLS. The attacking of Philadelphia was quite good, but the finishing was the worst they could have asked by their striker as they missed many open chances, which coasted them to lose the match.
The second goal came from no other than Lionel Messi, who shot from long-range after receiving a pass from Martinez and scored the goal from 35 yards from the goal while the three defenders kept the pressure on him. The third goal came just before the half time when Robert Taylor slid a through pass to Jordi Alba, who scored his first goal for Inter Miami. The defender once again showed no effort in stopping Alba, who scored the 2nd goal for the club.
The fourth goal of the match came in the 73rd minute, but this time, Philadelphia scored the goal as Alejandro Bedoya latched on to a loose ball in the penalty area and struck an amazing goal to put his team on the scoresheet. However, they were not able to keep the pressure on, and the Inter Miami substitute David Ruiz scored the fourth goal of the match to shut down any chances for Philadelphia to come back in the game after scoring an 84th-minute goal for Miami.
