Man United Transfer Update: Aston Villa Goalkeeper Martinez is The Target

Man United Transfer News

After a disappointing season for Manchester United in 2024/25, where they finished 15th in the table, the Man United Transfer market will once again be a significant one for them, as they will be looking to sign many players.

The United already sealed the deal with Matheus Cunha for €74.20m as their striker who can also play in at the wing positions and second striker but other then attacking their main issue was the goalkeeper positon because their last season signing Andre Onana clearly failed to keep up his great performance which he gave at the Inter Milan. They signed him for €50.20m, which was a waste of money for them, as he made numerous mistakes that led to the team suffering significantly this season.

Man United are interested in signing Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa

Manchester United are leading the race to sign Argentina star keeper Martinez, who already stated that he will not go forward with Aston Villa as they are looking for a new keeper, Joan Garcia of Espanyol.

Andre Onana has just nine clean sheets in his 38 Premier League matches, conceding 44 goals, which is a significant setback for any goalkeeper playing for a top team in one of the world’s best leagues. However, it will be challenging for the United to sell Onana. Nevertheless, the newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Neom SC is prepared to pay £35M to the United for his services.
