Ronaldo, who has more than 600 million followers on Instagram, commented on Ramos’ post: “You need another zero to catch me!” followed by a laughing emoji. His comment received over 100,000 likes from his fans, who enjoyed his banter.
Ramos replied to Ronaldo’s comment: “Don’t be too confident, Cris. Specialist in comebacks… minute 93 & more, hahaha. By the way, remember to participate, you have to use the #.” He was referring to his famous header goal in the 93rd minute of the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, which helped Real Madrid win their tenth European title.
The exchange between the two former teammates sparked a lot of reactions from the fans, who wondered if there was any bad blood between them. Some speculated that Ronaldo was jealous of Ramos’ move to Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabian club that has reportedly offered him a lucrative contract.
