Timo Werner Transfer Saga: Manchester United And Tottenham Trying To Sign Him
Timo Werner might once again play in the Premier League after his disappointing form in Chelsea Football Club, as Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are bidding for him.
Chelsea FC signed him in 2020 for 47.5 million euros on a five-year contract, and he scored his first goal against Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup. In 2022, he returned to RB Leipzig for 25.3 million euros and, till now, scored 18 goals in 44 matches, which once again made him one of the strikers that few clubs put their eyes on for the January transfer.
Manchester United did plan to bid on Werner, but now they dropped the idea because they don’t know what type of player the club needs. However, Rasmus Hojlund did not perform as they wanted him to who signed for the United in the summer for 65 million euros because they thought that he was next Erling Haaland.
Son Heung-min will be absent for a month due to international duty, which is why Hotspur is looking to sign Timo Werner, who is pacey and great at leaving defenders behind, but the only factor that can hurt Tottenham is his finishing skill. They even signed Richarlison in the summer, but he failed even to show his amazing goal-scoring skills, which he did in Everton.
