UEFA Champions League 2024/25: Matchday 2 Surprising Results As Aston Villa Won Against Bayern Munich

Matchday 2 of 8 of the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 is over with many exciting results that really turned the table and it is going to affect many big teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Here is the result of every match that happened on matchday 2 of 8.

Tuesday, October 1

RB Salzburg 0-4 Brest: Brest thumped RB Salzburg 4-0. Goals were scored by Abdallah Sima (2), Mahdi Camara, and Mathias Pereira Lage. Brest’s dominant performance left Salzburg with no chance to respond.

Barcelona 5-0 Young Boys: Barcelona showed their attacking strength with a 5-0 win. Goals came from Robert Lewandowski (2), Raphinha, Inigo Martinez, and one own goal by Mohamed Ali Camara. Barcelona’s attacking flair overwhelmed Young Boys.

Leverkusen 1-0 Milan: Leverkusen won a very competitive match 1-0. The only goal was scored by Victor Boniface. Leverkusen’s defense held strong against Milan’s attacks.

Inter 4-0 Crvena zvezda: Inter secured a comfortable 4-0 win. Goals were scored by Hakan Calhanoglu, Lautaro Martinez, Marko Arnautovic, and Mehdi Taremi. Inter’s dominant performance left Crvena zvezda with no answers.

Arsenal 2-0 PSG: Arsenal emerged with a solid 2-0 win. Goals were scored by Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz, with assists from L.Trossard. Arsenal’s strong defense and clinical finishing secured the victory.

Shakhtar Donetsk 0-3 Atalanta: Atalanta won comfortably with a 3-0 victory. Goals came from Berat Djimsti, Ademola Lookman, and Raoul Bellanova. Atalanta’s attacking efficiency was too much for Shakhtar to handle.

Girona 2-3 Feyenoord: Feyenoord pulled off a shocking 3-2 win. Girona’s goals were scored by David Lopez and Donny van de Beek, while Feyenoord’s goals came from Antoni Milambo and the other two were own goals. Feyenoord edged out Girona in a thrilling encounter.

Thursday, October 3

It was one of the most surprising days of the UEFA Champions League as there were quite some upsets happened.

Benfica 4-0 Atletico Madrid: Benfica stunned Atletico Madrid with a powerful 4-0 triumph. Goals were scored by M. Akturkoglu, Angel Di Maria, Alexander Bah, and Orkun Kokcu. Benfica’s dominant performance secured a comprehensive victory.

Liverpool 2-0 Bologna: Liverpool extended their streak with a 2-0 win. Goals were scored by Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister. Liverpool’s solid performance ensured a comfortable win.

RB Leipzig 2-3 Juventus: Juventus took a slender 3-2 win. Leipzig’s goals came from Benjamin Sesko who scored two goals in the 30th and 65th minute of the match, while Juventus’ goals were scored by Dusan Vlahovic in 50 and 68 minutes. Francisco Conceicao scored the third goal of the match in the 82nd minute. Juventus managed to secure a narrow victory in a closely contested match even when they were down to 10 men in the 59th minute of the match.

LOSC 1-0 Real Madrid: LOSC stunned Real Madrid with a 1-0 win. The only goal was scored by Jonathan David. LOSC’s disciplined performance and strong defense earned them a surprising victory.

SK Sturm Graz 0-1 Club Brugge: Club Brugge managed a narrow 1-0 win. The only goal was scored by Christos Tzolis in the 23rd minute, assisted by R. Onyedika. Club Brugge’s solid defense and timely goal secured the victory.
