UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Result: Arsenal and Barcelona through the Quarter Finals
The UEFA Champions League night has been one of the most exciting nights for all football fans, and last night turned out to be a great one for the Arsenal and Barcelona fans, who enjoyed their teams’ play in the second leg of the round of 16.
Arsenal vs Porto: David Raya won it for Arsenal in the Penalties
Arsenal did not have a great game against the Portuguese giants FC Porto in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, in which the hero of the match was David Raya, who saved two penalty kicks that were enough for Arsenal to make it through the round of 16.
In the first leg, Porto had a one-goal advantage at home against Arsenal, but in the last match, Leandro Trossard’s goal in the 41st minute leveled the score, and later, Arsenal won the match by 4-2 on penalties. It is a great time for the Arsenal fans because they last reached the last 16 in 2009-2010. It was not a good match for the Porto side, who lost their last eight knockout matches against the English opposition.
Barcelona vs Napoli: Robert Lewandowski’s goal gave Barcelona edge in the Round of 16 second leg
It was one of the best matches of the UEFA Champions League 2024 as Barcelona came back from one goal down to win the match by 4-2 on aggregate against the struggling Napoli. The second leg started well for Barcelona, who scored their first goal in just under 15 minutes. The young academy player Fermin Lopez scored the goal, but after that, it was Joao Cancelo’s goal that took the team in the lead.
Napoli’s defender Amir Rrahmani leveled the score in the 30th minute of the match to make the match more interesting, but in the end, it was Robert Lewandowski’s goal that sealed the quarter-final ticket for Barcelona.
