At UFC 311, former light heavyweight champions Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill squared off, where the Czech MMA star defeated “Sweet Dreams” via 3rd round Knock-out. Coming into the fight, Hill wanted to get a shot at the title after the win, but that is not going to happen anytime soon as he lost at UFC 311 where, as Jiri Prochazka’s impressive change in his fighting game and adjustments to keep his hands up while going in made his land clean strikes due to which he got his chance in the 3rd round and he knocked out Hill. During the post-fight interview, he called out Alex Pereira for a trilogy fight despite losing two fights against “Poatan.”
“I said that many times in media before, maybe you will not believe me, but I want to… F**k man! I want a third fight with Alex Pereira.”
Jiri said post-fight
The two fought at UFC 295 and UFC 303; both times, “Poatan” knocked out Jiri in the 2nd round. The light heavyweight champ was present in attendance at UFC 311 and had fun seeing his old rivals getting on each other. When it was asked from Alex Pereira on the trilogy bout with Jiri during an interview with MMA Junkie, here’s what the champ said.
‘He [Prochazka] is number 2? I am here to fight number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6… I am just here to fight anybody.”
Alex Pereira said
Alex Pereira is ready for a trilogy bout against Jiri Prochazka, but he is scheduled to fight Magomed Ankalaev next in March 2025 at UFC 313. Magomed Ankalaev is not holding back from mocking the champ on social media. It will be exciting to see whether he can walk the talk in the Octagon on March 8th, 2025, when these two will face each other in the main event.
