“I do believe that Conor McGregor will fight in 2025”- Dana White

UFC’s PPV king and former two-division champion Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return didn’t happen in 2024 as the Irish MMA star pulled out from the fight due to a pinky toe injury. He was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303, but that didn’t happen. The pull-out and all the social media stuff that Conor McGregor is putting online made MMA fans confident that the former champion won’t be returning to MMA ever again, but UFC head honcho Dana White thought otherwise as recently while speaking on Outta Pocket podcast White said.

“He’s fighting with everybody right now, but he’s not fighting anybody right now. I’ve said this a lot and, you know, Conor has gotten into a position where he’s made so much money and he has all these businesses that continue to make him a lot of money – it’s tough to get up and fight when you’re in the position that he’s in, but I do believe that Conor Mcgregor will fight in 2025.”

Dana White said

Well, the words will bring hope among MMA fans that they could see Conor McGregor again in the Octagon, but when in 2025 is still unclear though Conor McGregor repeatedly said that he has 2 fights left in his contract and just needs the date from the UFC for 2025, Dana White hasn’t revealed what they are planning for McGregor right now.

“There is no fight made or a date set or any of that, but I believe. If you watch what I was saying in 2024, I was saying, ‘I don’t think he’s going to fight in 2024’. And I do believe he will fight in 2025.”

He added

This weekend, UFC 308 is scheduled, and the UFC is all about making this card a big one with exciting fights.
