UFC lightweight Dan Hooker gets candid on his teammate and former UFC Middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya. In a recent conversation with Dom Harvey, Dan Hooker revealed how his countrymate really is when the cameras are off. The two UFC fighters are known for their striking prowess and train at City Kickboxing in Auckland, New Zealand. The two have helped each other multiple times in their fights, and recent statements of the lightweight revealed the character of Israel Adesanya and shared his honest opinion on the middleweight.
”Without a shadow of a doubt like goes back to the day we die. It’s not one of those friendships where you have to message each other every day…we go through like a lot of the the similar things obviously, I don’t tell the levels that he’s at like the levels of fame that he’s at is absolutely wild and we are very different people.”
Dan Hooker said
Dan Hooker praised the former middleweight champ for being humble in such a competitive sport.
‘The funny part about it is people think he’s the bad one and I’m the nice one and I’m just like thinking, ‘what the heck?’. Israel’s like one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. He is actually like a really nice heartfelt dude and I’m just not…Israel Like there’s no malice in it, it’s a competitive sport and he’s got no malicious intent like when he fights.”

New Zealand’s natives are preparing for their upcoming assignments where Israel Adesanya is scheduled to face the rising middleweight Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Saudi Arabia On February 1, 2025, and Dan Hooker will face Justin Gaethje at UFC 313 on March 8, 2025. The “Laststylebender” failed to claim the title one more time when he fought against the reigning champ Dricus du Plessis at UFC 305 where, as Dan Hooker will enter with three straight wins against Justin Gaethje, who lost to Max Holloway at UFC 300.
