"Without .... I Don't Want Him At All" Ilia Topuria Puts A Condition To Fight Max Holloway

The featherweight champion wants the BMF title on the line to fight Max Holloway; otherwise, he will move on to a rematch against former featherweight kingpin Alexander Volkanovski.

Ilia Topuria dethroned Volkanovski at UFC 298 to become the featherweight champion. He caught the eyes of the spectators and received a warm welcome from both Spain and Georgia for his remarkable achievement. “The Blessed,” after his victory at UFC 300, is eyeing getting his belt back from the undefeated fighter. A matchup between these two has created the hype, but whether it will come to fruition or not is a matter of time.

Recently, Ilia Topuria said this in his brief interaction with Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour.”

“There are a lot of things involved in this fight. He’s got that belt, that ‘(Baddest) Motherf**ker belt, so I’m excited to add that to my legacy, too,” Topuria said. UFC vhampion, the ‘Baddest Motherf**ker,’ what else? And then maybe I’ll go for a second weight class.
Without the BMF belt, I don’t want him at all. If not, I’m going to fight with Volk for the rematch. But because he has that (BMF) belt, I’m excited about that,” Topuria continued. “That’s why I want him. He’s been saying, ‘Right now, I have a lot of options.’ He doesn’t have any options. Right now, I’m the champion. I choose the date, I choose the place. He just has to be ready and he has to wait for the call. Whenever I want him, he has to be ready.”
