Recently, a great update came out from the Bantamweight champion’s nation Georgia, where the Prime minister of the Georgia announced a reward of 1 million Georgian Lari(approx. $367,666) for the champion. The response from Merab Dvalishvili after knowing that he is going to get a reward from the government won hearts as the champion declared that the entire amount will be pumped in his own country as he wants to increase the facilities for the young athletes who are eager to learn MMA so that more champions will get nurtured in his homeland.

Merab Dvalishvili, after winning the belt, received a Hero’s welcome at his home as fans erupted in huge numbers to celebrate the moment. Merab Dvalishvili put on an exceptional performance at UFC 306 to defeat Sean O’Malley. Though the Georgian wants to fight as soon as possible to defend his belt, which fighter he will fight next is a question for everyone whether the fans will see a rematch between him and Sean O’Malley or a fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov cousin Umar Nurmagomedov, who is so far undefeated in his professional career is remains to be seen.
