Last time, when these two collided in the Octagon, South African fighters got a razor-blade victory over Sean Strickland at UFC 297 to become the first Proteas UFC champ. Building up the rivalry prior to fighting at UFC 297, Tarzan and Stillknocks crossed into each other in the infamous crowd altercation where Sean Strickland initiated the brawl.
Now, former middleweight champ tagging Alexander Volkanovski shared a meme on his social media handle in which a zoomed-in pic of Volkanovski can be seen on the right. From the expression of Alexander Volkanovski, it is evident that he suspects some trouble after the verbal altercation between the two middleweights. The former featherweight champ gave a hilarious reply to the Strickland’s post.

Alexander Volkanovski is still waiting for his next fight to be announced and most likely it would be a title rematch against the reigning featherweight champ Ilia Topuria who defeated him at UFC 298 and then the Spaniard went on to defend it against Alexander’s old rival Max Holloway at UFC 308. Volkanovski and Topuria had a face off post UFC 308 main event. So, far the rematch is not official but it is expected to happen in 2025.
Meanwhile, the former featherweight champ is active on his YouTube channel, doing Q&A sessions and fight previews. However, it is difficult to keep him away from fighting, as the former champ is also preparing for his next fight, and once it is announced, he will start a proper training camp for that.
