Angad Bisht To Compete In “Road To UFC” This Year

Indian MMA fighter Angad Bisht will fight in the Road to UFC event to get an official UFC contract.

Indian MMA star Angad Bisht is all set to compete in the Road to UFC event this year to challenge other fighters from Asian nations to get the UFC contract. Last year, MMA fighter Anshul Jubli made his name in the history of Indian combat sports by becoming the first Indian fighter to win the Road to UFC event and get the contract. Now, Angad Bisht wants to follow the same route to get into one of the best MMA promotions in the world. He is one of the finest and scariest Indian MMA fighters and is currently on a four-fight win streak. He also won the MFN(Indian MMA Promotion) flyweight title but remained out of action since 2022; his last fight happened against Mohamed Gamal, which he won by making his opponent tap in the third round of the battle.

Now, the update of him fighting in the Road to UFC season 3 has excited the MMA fans in India who wanted to see him on the most prominent MMA stage in the world. UFC, in recent months, has started showing interest in Indian MMA fighters by inviting rising Indian MMA prospects to the UFC Performance Institute in China and even selecting two of them for full scholarship (Punyajit Likharu and Sumit Kumar). UFC started the Road to UFC event to give opportunities to South Asian MMA fighters in various weight categories and sign those fighters who won all of their fights.

The Road To UFC season 3 will be live on Sony Sports network on May 18, 2024, and millions of his fans are waiting to see him on the winning side of the event to represent India at UFC. Puja Tomar is set to fight Brazil’s Rayanne Amanda on June 8, 2024.
