Francis Ngannou “Classy” Reply To Jon Jones’ Comments On His PFL Debut Win

The former UFC heavyweight champion returned to the MMA this weekend against Renan Ferreira in a PFL heavyweight title fight and smoked his opponent in the first round to claim the PFL heavyweight title. Francis Ngannou gave a glimpse of his fight IQ, taking down the Brazilian heavyweight, slipping an arm bar, and then launching an all-out attack when he took the back of Renan Ferreira. His impressive victory over his opponent made the MMA community shower praise on him, and the reigning UFC heavyweight champion is among the fighters who congratulated Francis for his PFL debut win.

Now, the PFL heavyweight champion has reacted to Jon Jones’ comments and called it a classy one. While speaking in the Ariel Helwani show, he said.

“Yeah, I saw that.  I saw his tweet. Whatever he means, I think it’s class.  He said it in a very nice way.  I see him too, and I’ll be watching him on November 16th.”

During the interview, Francis Ngannou hinted at a potential super fight between him and Jon Jones in 2025 as Saudi Arabian Turki Alalshikh has ties with both PFL and UFC and a crossover between these two organization’s heavyweights can happen in the future.

I see him too, and I will be watching him on Nov. 16… There’s a chance [we could fight]. I can’t tell on a scale of one to 10, I can’t tell how much, but I know there’s a chance. I know that fight also interests Turki, and not many things resist him… I know the truth, I’ve been behind the scenes, so I know exactly what happened, and I do believe that he [Jones] wants to fight.”
