“It doesn’t feel any different” Israel Adesanya On Fighting Imavov In A Non-PPV Card

Former UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya is scheduled to face Nassourdine Imavov next in a UFC Fight Night event. It will be the first non-PPV event for “The Last Stylebender” in almost six years. Israel Adesanya appeared in 14 PPV events. The next assignment for the former champ is a lower-key event than the PPVs, but that doesn’t bother him a bit. Sharing his opinion on his next fight, he spoke his mind about being part of such an event and previewed his fight with the rising contender Nassourdine Imavov.

“I still get paid. There’s still a referee, it’s two of us in there, there’s a crowd. It’s not like in the f*cking Apex or something, so it doesn’t feel any different. I think people are making it out to be something how they would react to it, but they’re not in my shoes. They’re not in my shorts.

Israel Adesanya has had two losses in his last three fights. After claiming the middleweight title in a rematch against old foe Alex Pereira, “The last style bender” surprisingly lost it to Sean Strickland at UFC 293. When he got another shot at the title at UFC 305, he was submitted for the first time in his professional MMA career by the reigning champion Dricus du Plessis.

Aiming for a return to the title talks, Israel Adesanya will start his 2025 campaign in Saudi Arabia on February 1. The “Last Style Bender” is confident that he will defeat Nassourdine Imavov, and fighting in front of fans always excites him.

It’s a Saudi Arabia Fight Night, first of all. I still get paid. It still feels like you’re fighting Israel Adesanya. This is the biggest fight of his (Imavov’s) life. I have to be the one to halt that,” “It still feels the same. It doesn’t feel any different.”
