Mark Coleman Is Back in The Gym After His Release From The Hospital

Mark Coleman returned to his gym after suffering fatal injuries while rescuing his parents from the house fire.

Good news for fight fans, as former UFC heavyweight champion Mark Coleman has shockingly started training after being released from the hospital. The legend was in a hospital bed for more than a week for the fatal injuries he suffered while saving his parents and his pet dog in the house fire. The fighter rescued his parents from the house fire and then ran back to save his pet dog; unfortunately, his pet didn’t survive and succumbed to the injuries. Mark Coleman was airlifted to the hospital, where, after getting proper medical care, he got back on his feet and is now on the road to recovery.

The 59-year-old UFC veteran has posted a video on his Instagram account showing his gratitude towards the fight fans who prayed for his speedy recovery. Though he was re-admitted to the hospital after some pneumonia symptoms were found, the re-admission was for a brief period, and the veteran didn’t waste his time after getting clearance from the medical professionals and returned to his gym, Immortal Martial Arts Center in Columbus, Ohio.

During his prime, Mark Coleman was one of the most celebrated UFC fighters and was the first to be crowned UFC heavyweight champion. The veteran retired from MMA with a record of 16-10, and in 2008, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
