"Making Things Up" Max Holloway Replied After Ilia Topuria's "Weight Cutting Issues" Comment

UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has been out of the action after defeating former featherweight GOAT Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298. There are exciting matchups lined up for the champion, and the former UFC featherweight champion is at the top of that list after his spectacular victory over Justin Gaethje in the BMF title fight. The two are destined to fight next, but so far, there is no official announcement of the two sharing the cage in the upcoming months, and the same query was asked by the Spanish sports publication Marca to the reigning featherweight champion Ilia Topuria to which he said:

It’s not because of me. They [The UFC] called me to say that Max Holloway was having family issues, that he was having trouble cutting weight, and that he wanted to fight in a higher weight class. Honestly, I don’t know. I have no idea. (translated from Spanish)

After hearing from “El Matador,” Max Holloway replied by sharing a famous meme.

With Max Holloway’s reaction, it is clear that the two are ready to fight, and fans want to see that, too, but there is an unreasonable delay in making it official. Ilia Topuria has recently shown interest in fighting in Abu Dhabi or Spain. Next, in either venue, he will defend his featherweight title, probably against the reigning BMF Max Holloway.
