Belal dominated Leon Edwards in the entire fight and got his hand raised at the end of the fight. Now, the UFC booked him with the undefeated Kazakhstan fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov for his first title defense at UFC 310. Shavkat Rakhmonov’s fighting resume is exciting, with a 100% finish rate and no decision victory so far, whereas the other Belal Muhammad has decision victories on his side in his UFC career, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is a champion and can turn the tables at UFC 310.
UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa, who will also fight on the UFC 310 card on December 7th, 2024, is rooting for Shavkat Rakhmonov to win the title but won’t be surprised if Belal turns the table and steals the main event.

Former UFC welterweight Alan Jouban who fought Belal Muhammad in the latter’s UFC debut believes that Belal could upset Shavkat Rakhmonov and steal his 0 at his title defense.
Belal Muhammad goes in there, dumps him on his head numerous times, outwrestled him, manhandled him. Shavkat Rakhmonov though, this guy does everything well, and so this is going to be, I think, Belal’s toughest date. But I do think that Belal does have the grappling to get it done.”
