There was a moment in the 4th round of the fight where the “Stillknocks” caught Sean Strickland with a clean right hand, breaking the former champ’s nose and forcing him to step back on his heels. That’s where Dricus went for the kill, but Sean, being a tough fighter, didn’t give up and fixed his nose to go the full distance.
Former fighters and champs had different takes on Sean’s fighting attitude at UFC 312. Some labeled him a “Warrior,” while others called him a “failure.” Former UFC middleweight champ Luke Rockhold criticized Sean Strickland for worrying about his bleeding nose rather than fighting. In a recent update from Ariel Helwani he revealed what the former champ said about the middleweight.

After losing the title bout, it is unclear who Sean will fight next, but “Tarzan’s” chances of getting a title shot again are bleak.
