The doctor and many surgeons suggested Nadal not play as it was going to increase the pain in his foot and also affect his overall body, but as we witnessed, he did not give up and kept playing the sport at the highest level, becoming one of the greatest.
Walther Muller, the German Surgeon who was the first person to find out about Mueller-Weiss Syndrome, said in his report. “chronic compression of the navicular from adjacent bones.”
Foot & ankle surgeon Matthew Welck and other doctors gave out the statement that it happens: “In early cases, there is minimal necrosis of the navicular evident, yet the changes of varus are visible. Therefore, it may be that developmental pathology of the navicular, as described later, results in lateral osteonecrosis,”
