The 48th match of the IPL 2025 ended on a sour note for the home team, Delhi Capitals, who lost their second consecutive match in the league. KKR played an all-around game to defeat DC at Arun Jaitley Stadium. It was a remarkable victory for KKR, keeping them alive in the competition. However, apart from the victory, a controversial incident caught the eyes of the fans, including Indian cricketers Kuldeep Yadav and Rinku Singh.
In the video, which is going viral on social media, it can be seen that after the match, when both teams’ players were laughing at each other, perhaps making jokes about each other, Delhi Capitals’ Kuldeep Yadav suddenly slaps KKR’s Rinku Singh. Though it wasn’t looking like a serious slap but more of a friendly one, it certainly changed the expression of the left-handed batter, who looked in shock, and then the spinner slapped him again.

It wasn’t clear what the issue was between these two, but the incident didn’t go well with social media users, who demanded a ban on Kuldeep Yadav for the upcoming matches. Delhi Capitals posted a video captioned ” Only Pyaar ” to clear the heat and clarify that nothing serious happened between the players and that it was a playful act.

After losing the match, Delhi Capitals dropped to the 4th position in the points table. DC didn’t get the start they hoped for while chasing 205 runs. Skipper Axar Patel, despite getting injured while fielding, batted brilliantly to score 43 runs for his team; Faf du Plessis was another batter who kept his team’s hopes alive till his wicket. Sunil Narine dismissed both to turn the match in KKR’s favor as they ended up winning the game by 14 runs.
