After two back-to-back group matches, India emerged victorious and progressed to the semifinals. China Taipei’s defeat at the hands of India was a classic 54-36. Meanwhile, Nepal beat Iraq by a mere point in what is being considered the match of the tournament so far. Iran, whose team was significantly bolstered by Srinivas Reddy, former PKL coach and current head coach of Bangladesh, defeated Bangladesh comfortably by 39 points and advanced to the second consecutive semifinals. Last Year’s finalists Kenya unfortunately bowed out after losing to Pakistan in the quarterfinals.
