Haryana Steelers is a professional Kabaddi team based in Haryana state, the team is currently led by Meetu Sharma and coached by Manpreet Singh. Their home ground is Tau Devi Lal Stadium.
The Steelers got off to a good start in the PKL, reaching the playoffs for the first time in the 2017 season, but carelessness always came with mistakes, and the team finished last in Division A in the following 2018-19 season. Until the team’s comeback in PKL 2019, they got off to a good start with a strong offense and made it all the way to the playoffs, but Haryana Steelers put them down due to a defensive lapse in the knockout game against U Mumba. Missed the chance to take home the trophy.
The team is currently captained by Joginder Singh Narwal, a Left Corner Defender, and head coached by Rakesh Kumar, a former professional player with a stellar record who has traveled with the national team many times and brought back multiple gold medals In recognition of his contribution to the sport, the Indian government awarded him the Arjuna Award in 2011. I believe his experience can lead the team to new heights again
Haryana Steelers has not been stable in the professional Kabaddi league for a long time. They have strong explosiveness and offensiveness, but they are obviously weak in defense, which is one of the reasons why it is difficult for them to hit the championship.
