England Team Left India After Losing Second Test, But Why?

Ben Stokes’ led team England has left India after the second test match to Abu Dhabi before returning for the third test. The English cricketers want to chill out and freshen up their minds by indulging in some recreational activities; they would take the flight back to India after the break. Head coach Brendon McCullum and captain Ben Stokes think that the break will allow England players to free themselves from test-series pressure.

Before the test series opener, the England team was in Abu Dhabi and practiced a lot to tackle the Indian spin attack. Their practice did pay off in the first test match of the series as the visitors countered the Indian spin attack in the “Bazball” approach and won it, but in the second test match played at Visakhapatnam, the visitors tasted the defeat from the host.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three wickets each, and India managed to stop England at 292 to register a win by 106 runs to level the series (1-1). Ben Stokes and his men fought well in the second test, and England’s captain is confident that his team will bounce back from the defeat as, according to him, England is a level-head team.

“Being 2-0 up would have been great for us, but that’s the great thing about a five-match series, it’s the end of the series where everything counts. We’re a very level-headed team and that allows us to put things behind us, move on to the next thing and concentrate there”
