India vs England 4th Test: India Won By Five Wickets After Early Shocks, Lead Series 3-1

India vs. England 4th Test: India's Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel took India to a 5-wicket win over England.

The India vs England fourth test at Ranchi ended on Day 4, with India finishing the game with a third straight victory in the test match series. India has now taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the test series. England has given a scare to the Indian fans when they sent five batters back to the pavillion while defending the total of 192 runs, but Shubman Gill and debutant Dhruv Jurel carried the hopes of the Indian fans. Shubman Gill hit a half century, and Dhruv Jurel, on the other end, supported the batter well after rescuing India in the first innings. He batted so calmly in the second innings as well to take India to victory. India has clinched the series, but there’s still one match left, which is going to happen in Dharamshala.

In the absence of big players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Shami, the Indian team has shown that even with younger players, they have the mettle to tackle any challenges that come in their way to victory. Debutant Akash Deep was impressive in the first innings of the match as the right-arm bowler scalped three wickets in the first innings, but Joe Root’s century revived England to put a total of 353 runs on the board. In reply, India trailed by 46 runs in the first innings as Dhruv Jurel’s impressive innings of 90 runs took India to a total of 307 runs. England was bowled out for just 145 runs in the second inning, and India has to score 192 runs to win the match.

After a quick fall of wickets while chasing the target of 192 runs, Shubman Gill and Dhruv Jurel remained resistant to England’s bowling attack and registered a remarkable victory over England.
