“We Don’t Have To Sit In A Meeting Room” Joe Root Said On “Bazball” Approach

Former England’s captain Joe Root is part of the England’s test team playing against India in a five-match test series. Though he has yet to do anything significant with the bat in the series so far, the right-handed batter’s caliber to score big runs can’t be ignored. Joe Root is one of the prime pillars of England’s batting line-up, and he has supported the “Bazball” approach since the beginning, changing his old style of playing elegant shots to a more aggressive one. Recently, while speaking on the “Bazball” approach of their test coach Brendon McCullum, who was the pioneer of this aggressive style, his strategy was carried well by England’s test captain Ben Stokes.

“We don’t really do team meetings anymore. That’s one of the great things about how we do all of our conversations away from the game and just that enjoyment and buzz about spending time with each other,”

Joe Root told Jio Cinema

Joe Root is extremely confident in the aggressive approach of England’s team in the test series and will continue to play like this in the upcoming test matches against India. The right-handed batter talked about their previous win over India in a one-off test match where their aggressive play led to victory, and they also won the first test of the five-match series. Speaking on the victory of the first test match, he hailed Ollie Pope’s innings and said this.

“Ollie went out and probably played one of the best overseas innings you’ll see in these conditions, especially against that attack on that surface. The more time we spend in these conditions, hopefully, we can continue to familiarize ourselves and keep that calmness about how we go about things.

He added

India and England will go against each other on February 15, 2024, in Rajkot, Gujarat.
