Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Puttick will no longer be guiding Pakistan’s team, as the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to release them from their services. The trio has coached the Pakistan cricket team since the tenure of the last PCB chief, Najam Sethi, last year in 2023. Pakistan’s poor run in the Asia Cup 2023 and then in the World Cup 2023 is seen as the main reason behind the sacking of the foreign coaching staff. Earlier in November 2023, after the ICC World Cup 2023, Mickey Arthur was removed from his duties as the Pakistan team director, and former captain Mohammad Hafeez was appointed as the new director. There were speculations back then that PCB was planning to get rid of the entire foreign staff, and now they have proven the rumors true.
Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn, and Andrew Puttick all have received some other assignments, where Andrew Puttick has received an offer from the Afghanistan team, Grant Bradburn has got an offer from English County, Glamorgan, to coach the team as head coach, and Mickey Arthur is already working with Derbyshire. So, PCB will do the full settlement of their contracts soon and release them from their duties.
After some consultations since Mickey is already with Derbyshire and Puttick and Bradburn have found new assignments it was decided to end the matter amicably and release them from their contracts,

Though the Pakistan team already had a new director, Mohammed Hafeez, and other new coaches before their three-match series with Australia, there hasn’t been much improvement in their performance, as the Pakistan team lost the series by 0-3. The Pakistan team will next face New Zealand in a five-match T20I series that is scheduled to happen in New Zealand. The first match is on January 12.
