PCB Refused to Accept the Hybrid Model Just Hours Before the ICC Meeting on the Champions Trophy: What Did Pakistan Cricket Say About the Issue?

The tension between ICC and PCB is increasing due to India not traveling to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy as they don’t feel safe and also have national issues.

As the Russell to host the ICC Champions Trophy is still going on for the PCB, many countries do not find it safe to travel to Pakistan, and in the past, during the PSL (Pakistan Super League), many foreign players made complaints about the quality of food and also with many don’t like the facilities.

What Did The Chairman of PCB Say About The ICC Hybrid System?

“Pakistan will not keep participating in events in India while Indian authorities keep refusing to send their teams to Pakistan. Such an imbalance is not acceptable,”

“Our stance is well known. We will safeguard Pakistan’s interests.” It is just not possible that while Pakistan keeps on going and playing in India all events the Indian authorities are not willing to send their team to play in Pakistan. We can’t have such an unequal situation,”

“I promise we’ll do what is best for Pakistan cricket. I’m constantly in touch with the ICC chairman and my team is talking to them constantly. We’re still clear in our stance that it’s not acceptable that we play cricket in India, and they don’t play cricket here. Whatever will happen, will happen on the basis of equality. We’ve told the ICC very clearly, and what happens next we’ll let you know,”

“Whatever we do, we will make sure the best outcome for Pakistan is achieved, “But I repeat, and I am sure you know what I mean, it’s not possible that Pakistan play in India, and they don’t come here.”

PCB Chairman Said

Many international sponsors and broadcasting companies said that they would pull out if India did not participate in the ICC Champions Trophy. This can only happen if there is a hybrid model or if the whole competition is held in South Africa, which is said to be another favorite to host the competition.
