Shri Ram Sangh Wins State Kabaddi Match

Excitement was in the air as Sri Ram Kabaddi Team Palghar, Shur Sambhaji Sports Club Mumbai Suburb, Jai Bhawani Tarun Mandal Mumbai Suburb, and Jai Hanuman Sports Club Thane all advanced to the men’s third round on day two of the 70th State Kabaddi Championships organized by Shree Mawli Mandal. The competition was fierce, but these teams rose to the challenge with their impressive athleticism and strategic plays. Fans cheered as each team displayed their skills and determination in pursuit of the title. With their impressive performance, each of these teams proved they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

The women’s division had an intense match in suburban Mumbai as Palghar’s Sri Ram team took on Swarajya Sports Club. Despite Swarajya’s strong lead of 9 points, Sri Ram’s Aishwarya Dhawan made a deep dive in the second half and with the support of Shruti Somase, secured a thrilling 32-30 two-point victory. In another tight match, the Rishi Valmiki women’s team from Vasai defeated Amar Hind Mahila Mandal team from Mumbai City with a narrow 2-point lead of 33-31, securing their place in the third round. These matches are a testament to the fierce competition in the women’s division and demonstrate the spirit and determination of these talented athletes.

In the enthralling match between Veer Parashuram Kabaddi and Sri Sai Krida Mandal, the former emerged victorious by 4 points. Although Veer Parashuram Kabaddi led by 6 points at halftime, Sri Sai Krida Mandal’s Sandeep Yadav tried his level best to result in a comeback. But, despite his efforts, Veer Parashuram Kabaddi held their ground and sealed the victory. However, the game wasn’t without its highlights for the losing team. Shraddha Kadam fought hard and played alone in the losing team, putting up a brave fight. Nevertheless, it wasn’t enough to overturn the two-point lead that Harsha and Divya Redkar had maintained for their team until the end.
